A Socratic Movement
Our goal is to collect and share the best ideas for making Greenville better. We believe that good ideas are born from great questions, so we hope this turns into a site of great questions.
The Start
We fully understand the question is just the start. Our hope is these questions grow into conversations, and those conversations grow into projects, and those projects grow into movements that make Greenville better.
To help move this process forward, our leaders will read and process the ideas submitted and comment monthly via a video podcast addressing the most popular ideas of the month. Right now, we are rating the popularity by the most "Likes" and comments on Facebook and Twitter.
Also, Greenville Forward is going to monitor the idea stream and try to connect good ideas with people who can help make the ideas a reality.
People Powered
The real power and potential of this site is in the open collaboration of the people of Greenville. To this end we are trying our best to make conversations both easy and meaningful. If there is an idea you're particularly proud of or interested in, then share the idea on Facebook and/or Twitter. We hope to see countless conversations happen on those sites. If you're interested in talking to someone who submitted an idea and can't contact them through Facebook or Twitter, then email Greenville Forward, and we'll try to make that connection.
An OrangeCoat and Greenville Forward Project
What if Greenville is a collaboration between Greenville Forward and OrangeCoat. The initial spark came thanks to giveaminute.info, and we thank them profusely for their vision. All ideas submitted to the site are open to the public and published under the Creative Commons attribute license. We not only allow but expect anyone and everyone to take these ideas and run with them. Email addresses are not published to the public, but Greenville Forward reserves the right to contact people through the submitted email address. Your email will never be sold, and we will only share your email with your permission.
